Programa BCN Interculturalitat
The Programa BCN Interculturalidad (PROGBI) is a municipal initiative by Barcelona City Council that, since 2010, has implemented a wide range of actions to promote an intercultural perspective in the city.
When tasked with rebranding this important program, I focused on creating a visual identity that reflects the program’s diverse lines of work while remaining simple, iconic, and versatile across multiple platforms.

My role involved developing a comprehensive rebranding strategy and crafting a new visual identity for the program. Key highlights of my contributions include:
- Logo Design: The centerpiece of the rebranding effort was a logo that incorporates icons representing each of the program’s key lines of work. The result is a unified and dynamic visual mark that encapsulates the diversity and interconnectedness of the program’s initiatives.
- Color Palette: I developed a cohesive and vibrant color palette to complement the logo, ensuring flexibility and adaptability for use across various materials and media.
- Visual Identity System: Beyond the logo, I designed a consistent and modern look and feel for the program, which could be applied across all platforms and communication channels.
- Social Media and Channel Branding: I created digital assets and templates for social media platforms and other channels, ensuring a recognizable and engaging presence for the program online.

The goal of the rebranding was to create a visual identity that not only supports the wide variety of initiatives within the program but also communicates its values of inclusion, connection, and cultural richness. By combining clear, icon-driven design with vibrant yet harmonious colors, the brand now stands as a powerful tool to represent the program’s mission and engage its audience.

Working on PROGBI was an opportunity to contribute to a municipal initiative with a meaningful impact on the city of Barcelona. The rebranding effort highlights the program’s diversity while creating a unified identity that strengthens its communication and outreach efforts.
